"The New Social Europe" report was presented in December 2006 by PES President Poul Nyrup Rasmussen and Jacques Delors, founding President of Notre Europe and former President of the European Commission.
The report sets out the values, principles and policies which we, today, as Europe’s socialists and social democrats, believe in and which we will pursue in order to ensure that Europe meets today’s challenges - globalization, demography, technological change and enlargement - and turns them into opportunities and benefits for all of our citizens.
