Congratulating Zita Gurmai for having made of PES Women an effective political platform for women’s issues, Mercedes Bresso reiterated her conviction that gender equality should be an ideological and political reflex for the PES family and all its constituent parts. “Our responsibility as Socialists, Social Democrats and Progressives is to put women first in our political agendas”, concluded Mercedes Bresso, who has put this into practice in her own political campaign on the ground.
