Gender pay gap, Shut it!

On 22 February 2007, PES Women is taking action to express its concern about the still existing 15% gender pay gap in EU.

PES Women has chosen this symbolic date to call on Social Affairs ministers and European Commissioner Vladimir Špidla for concrete actions to eliminate the gap. In the afternoon, Zita Gurmai, President of PES Women, invites everyone to wear the “Gender pay gap, Shut it”-tag and join PES Women at the open debate “Gender pay gap, only a salary issue?”
