Forum on jobs and economic growth

Unemployment is unacceptably high. More than 20 million unemployed in Europe. Growth is too low in many countries. We therefore need to cooperate better. The neo-liberal approach is clearly not functioning. We need a new way.

We need more and better jobs. How should Europe and our countries boost economic growth and tackle unemployment?

Some points to guide the discussions:
A coordinated European investment strategy
Better economic policy coordination
Coordination of taxation and completing the single market
A European Energy network?
Modernising labour markets, and education and Training.
Equal pay and anti-discrimination policies
Are these some of the ways forward? What is the EU’s role?
