Eastern European neighbours
The PES has set up a Working Group on Eastern European Neighbours, chaired by Peter Schieder (MP, SPÖ, Austria) and Tadeusz Iwinski (MP, SLD, Poland).
Its aim is to analyse the transformation and democratisation processes in four Eastern European countries: Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, in close co-operation with our partners in these countries.
The “PES Working Group on Eastern European Neighbours” works in close cooperation and exchange information with the European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity.
