Madrid PES activists group starts working
The Group has already made its contributions to the 2008 PES Manifesto.
The
past May 8, the Madrid PES activists group was founded by around 20
activists. The Group has since then held several meetings in order to
discuss the 2008 PES Manifesto and to establish a permanent structure.
Most
of its members are sympathizers of the PSM (the Madrilenian section of
the Spanish PSOE), being the European parliamentary Carlos Carnero one
of its most prominent members.
Since the first meeting, the
Group has made several contributions to the 2008 PES manifesto. These
contributions are mainly focused in the importance of a federal Europe
and the need of including new civil and social rights in the political
agenda, as Spanish socialists have already (and successfully) done.
The
Group has an e-mail () and a web for all European
socialists that want to collaborate or who are interested in its
activities.
