Can we win local elections based on the social democratic values ?

PES activists Romania organized a Training Camp from 14th to 16th of March in Oradea (Nord-West of Romania). Several NGOs and foundations helped us to train around 40 people for the local elections that are going to take place in May. We’ve presented the basic campaign techniques, the way PES activists can be involved in the campaign, how to integrate European themes in the local projects, etc.
The key question in our minds was if one can win local elections based on the social democratic values. Is this enough? What do you think?
