Greek elections
Date2007/09/17 14:23 by: electraI would like to express my deep dissapointment for the result of the Greek elections. And I would also like to express my worry for the intention to remove Mr Papandreou from the presidency of PASOK. They say PASOK lost due to the fact that Mr. Papandreou was not popular and was considered not competent...But I ask myself: is it the rest of socialist world stupid enough to have elected Mr Papandreou as the President of Socialist International or is it just Greeks so smart to be able to see what the rest of the world cannot see? Being a Greek I feel great disappointment when I see fellow Greek socialists not being convinced about the ethos, competencies and noble demeanour of someone who could bring Greece forward. This is a critical moment and I would like to invite fellow Greeks and the european socialists as well to support Mr. Papandreou as the president of PASOK and promote a positive image of Mr Papandreou rather than believe any negative comments on his person. I am afraid that if Mr. Papandreou will seize to lead PASOK, a void will be created that will be difficult to fill in.
Thank you
