Great socialist leaders nostalgia.
Date2006/10/09 09:38 by: Socialist with memoryWe need LEADERSHIP like we had with François Mitterand (PS- France), Olof Palme (SAP- Sweden), Bruno Kreisky (SPÖe- Austria), Willy Brandt (SPD- Germany), Gonzaléz (PSOE- Spain), Mário Soares (PS- Portugal), Craxi (PSI- Italy), Papandreou (PASOK- Greece), Ataturk (CHP- Turkey), Neil Kinnock (Labour- UK), John Smith (Labour- UK), Clement Attlee (Labour- UK), Harold Wilson (Labour- UK), Gro Harlem Brundtland (DNA- Norway), Joop den Uyl (PvdA- Netherlands), Guy Spitaels (PS- Belgium), Anker Jørgensen (SD- Denmark), Kalevi Sorsa (SDP- Finland), William Norton (Labour- Ireland) and many others who contributed for a modern, progressist democratic socialist movement across Europe. We miss political leaders like them, and we have a great nostalgia of that times. Today's leaders have lack of leadership, convictions, dreams, projects. They are more egocentric and don't fight for the values of democratic socialism.
Amongst the profound teachings of Gandhi was what he called the seven sins, which he said were:
Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Knowledge without character
Business without morality
Science without humanity
Worship without sacrifice
Politics without principle
PS- Please mentionate which european socialist leader do you think it was the greatest of our times. -

I guess you're completely mistaken. No one can compare Mussolini and Hitler to what true socialism is about.
