25th November - European Elections - 24-11-2007 13:15:06 - Il faut être connecté pour poster un commentaire. Veuillez vous identifier ou vous enregistrer ici
Tomorrow is the 25th November - the European elections day here in Romania.
The campaign worked well even know we good have done better.
The PSD - Romanian Social Democratic Party should have around 26 percents at this elections but everything depends on the circumstances of the vote itself that can go in every way.
Unfortunately people aspect a low participation rate that isn't good in my opinion for democracy.
This low participation rate is due to the confusion introduced in the population by the right wing president who decided to make a referendum in the same day with regards to the voting system.
The biggest problem is that Romanians even know they are very pro-Europeans don't know much about what Europe means.
Nevertheless PES activists here in Romania hope to be better prepared for the 2009 European elections. We hope that we will be more useful to the party and used at our full capacity which is growing.
This month we are going to open our national office in Bucharest and we hope that at the beginning of the year to start opening local offices around the country.
I will keep you in touch with the results -
